A race Boris isn’t winning

prat-of-the-year-003.jpg

First we got the strategist who was sacked for telling Afro Caribbeans: ‘Well let them go if they don’t like it here.’

Now Boris has appointed a new Director of Policy who believes that the London bombings, the increase in HIV infections and the poor performance of black boys is all the fault of political correctness.)

We already know the Ex-Times correspondent and policy wonk Anthony Browne from writing his seminal article “The Muslims are Coming” (”There’s no plot, Islam really does want to conquer the world”) - printed in the Spectator by a certain Mr B Johnson.

But what’s less known is his publication on, and links with a rabidly anti-immigration American website that debates the intelligence of Afro-Caribbeans.

Brown used to contribute to V Dare - the online forum for the Centre for American Unity - a non-profit educational organization concerned with “whether the United States can survive as a nation-state, the political expression of a distinct American people, in the face of these emerging threats: mass immigration, multiculturalism, multilingualism, and affirmative action.”

In the article, Browne wrote:

“Britain has many advantages over the US in this debate. We have no national credo that Britain was built up by immigration. We are already one of the most densely populated islands in the world, with most British people thinking it is overcrowded.

“Most immigration is focused on London, the centre for the media and government, so all journalists and politicians see its effects first hand every day. And although the government broadcaster, the BBC, feels compelled to brainwash the people about the delights of multiculturalism at every opportunity, the national newspaper media is both incredibly powerful and overwhelmingly right wing (there are few left wing papers, and they are the worst selling).

“Now that the debate has opened up in Britain, we just need to make sure it moves in the right direction. All three main political parties still insist that Britain needs mass immigration to survive.

“In many ways, the battle has just begun. But it has definitely begun.”

Other contributors also shared his passion too with this ‘political incorrectness,’ writing such well-researched and intellectually robust articles as ‘Solving The African IQ Conundrum : “Winning Personality” Masks Low Scores, Eva Langoria “Desperate” For More Immigration and ‘A Hispanic Reader Says We’re Getting More Hispanics Whether We Like It Or Not

A sample quote from one of Browne’s fellow contributors:

“The low African IQ of 70 remains hard for many to accept. One reason for the disbelief: Africans—and African Americans—display high levels of social competence. They are outgoing, talkative, sociable, warm, and friendly. Psychometrically (sic) speaking, they score high on the Extraversion (sic) personality dimension. They are also much less anxious, shy, and fearful than Whites.

“It is this “winning personality” among Blacks, I believe, that makes it hard for so many to accept the validity of their failing tests of abstract reasoning ability.”

Who needs a London race advisor when you’ve got a Browne face in charge of policy.

  1. Thank god that London is finally getting some sane government and a Mayor and advisers who understand reality and not just political correctness and feathering their mate’s nests.

Browne is a million times better and more suitable to be a Mayoral adviser than Lee Jasper or Manny Lewis, to mention but two, ever were. And of course the icing on the cake is the petulant sour grapes and inaccurate and irrelevant accusations of racism of bad losers like you Recess. As ever when cornered and beaten the left always resort to meaningless charges of racism, isn’t it time you lot changed the record, the voters are plainly sick of it and, unlike Labour, can see the truth of Islamic Imperialism for starters.

  2. Shame we don’t have Ken “”If they’re not happy here, they can go back to Iran and try their luck with the ayatollahs, if they don’t like the planning regime or my approach.” Livingstone (who said that to the Rubens brothers, who weren’t from Iran in the first place).

Or we could have Mark Wadsworth, responsible for the downfall of John McGrath whom you quote (without quoting the abysmal statement of Darcus Howe that he was responding to). Wadsworth says of Australians:

“a country where Black people are the ‘Aboriginal’ indigenous nation who are stereotyped by the white colonisers as social security scrounging drunks”?

  3. […] seems Browne’s anti-immigration views, popular with extreme right wingers in the US have developed a loyal fan base over here […]

  4. “seems Browne’s anti-immigration views, popular with extreme right wingers in the US have developed a loyal fan base over here ”

Yes they are called the electorate and they will be giving Labour the severe electoral kicking that they deserve very soon indeed.

  5. Lots of abuse, and denigration by (loose) association, not so much in the way of facts or arguments. The McGrath sacking which you cite approvingly was a disgrace. I saw but one racist remark in the whole farrago, namely that made by Wadsworth himself about all Australians hating Aborigines. Darcus Howe’s comment which started it all was also a disgrace - and wrong, thus far, despite the worst efforts of the Boris haters. For his faults, and there were very many indeed, at least Ken would have stood up to a media farce like that; ironically, in bending over backwards to appease those who despise him, Boris is simply feeding them ammunition.

I’m still waiting for a response regarding the congestion charge, another instance of you totally misrepresenting the true situation in the blind pursuit of Boris-bashing.

  6. The figure of an African IQ of 70 doesn’t have academic credibility, although there is some research to show it’s lower.

It is interesting though to see the criticism of this difference. Is it really possible to believe (as most people seem to) that
    1. All races will do equally well on IQ tests.
    2. Investment in education matters.
    3. Blacks are discriminated against in terms of schooling, African countries can’t/don’t invest in education the same way as European countries.

If 2 and 3 are both true then 1 basically can’t be (unless you think blacks are racially superior and are therefore scoring equally despite the disadvantages). If you currently believe all three then you should examine internally how to resolve your different beliefs.

The way I resolve it is basically to remember that IQ tests are not a test of raw intelligence (as many people imagine), but simply a test of abilities in test taking generally and IQ test taking in particular. When we talk about national average scores they are a test of the extent to which a nations system is focussed pressuring students to pass exams (the UK tends to do well on this, but Asian countries even better), and at a lower level the extent to which an education system actually exists. For this reason, racial differences in IQ test performance are getting smaller every decade - which of course suggests the issue is not about bad genes.

Here in Slovakia the best school in this town takes kids on the basis of an IQ test (must be over 130) so you can bet I am going to prepare my daughter like hell for it. If an IQ test was really what people imagine it to be (a test of what psychologists call “g” - the general intelligence factor, although not all psycholigists even believe “g” exists) then of course it would be impossible to prepare in this way. It is possible because the tests are a nonsense.

  7. In the first line, by “lower” I mean lower than the European average, not lower than 70.
