Yesterday Boris’s Chief of Staff Nick Boles let slip to London Assembly members - and picked up by the increasingly essential Tory Troll (is it you Ken?) - that Johnson’s team didn’t really have time to check their new advisors because it was too “ballbreaking.”
Now they might have thought their new Policy Director (ex hack and Policy Exchange head Anthony Browne, pictured) wouldn’t need closer scrutiny. After all Boles and he were both at PE. He must be ok, right?
Wrong.
It seems Browne’s anti-immigration views, popular with extreme right wingers in the US have developed a loyal fan base over here too.
So if you’re keen to get your hands on a copy of “The Retreat of Reason - Political Correctness and the Corruption of Public Debate in Modern Britain” and “Do We Need Mass Immigration?” (guess what the answer is!) then look no further than here and here.
Yep, you can find both titles on sale at the BNP’s online shop ‘Excalibur.’
Retreat of Reason is described by the BNP as:
“A devastating expose of the effects of Political Correctness and its poisonous effect of public debate in modern Britain. The author shows how the media and government even resort to employing misleading statistical evidence to support their PC objectives. A far reaching book which has the left squealing in horror.”
You can also buy such informative titles as “Shockley on Eugenics and Race: The Application of Science to the Solution of Human Problems,” “The Poverty of Multiculturalism”
and “The Sword of the Prophet: Islam History, Theology, Impact on the World”
Whilst there, don’t forget to pick up a T shirt. Monkey particularly liked “It’s Cool to Be White” and “My Job Went To India And All I Got Was This Lousy T Shirt.”
So much so we’ve bought one and sent it to Anthony. We’ve addressed it to him c/o City Hall.
Hopefully he’ll still be there when it arrives.

I’m sorry, but this isn’t a story, is it?
Am I missing something that links the two aspects of this article? Or is it just another piss-poor rant?

But in “Do We Need Mass Immigration?” Browne repeatedly makes it clear he hates the BNP. You obviously haven’t read it.

Where were these shirts manufactured, then?

Something wrong in the house of Johnson it looks like. Is there anybody on his staff who isn’t a raving bigot?
James said this on July 24th, 2008 at 11:06 am
Yes Petra and Castra - you’re missing the point which is that he’d be an idiot not to say he dilikes the BNP…but they certainly like him!!

I blame the picaninnies myself, coming over here with their watermelon smiles, stealing our women, picking our watermelons and generally smelling funny…

More worringly is that Recess Monkey is buying t-shirts from the BNP and funding their little racist shop.
I’m not sure the ‘No Platform’ policy extended to actually giving the fuckers money, but that’s probably because nobody thought anyone would be stupid enough to do it!

Political correctness is bad for debate and it’s not just the Right who think so.

He is so right wing he is married to a government special adviser. Now that is right wing.

Hello Paul,
I see the other line you guys are putting out is that Browne’s the ’son of an immigrant.’
Obviously the RIGHT (or WHITE) kind of immigrant.
Don’t be a stranger, now.
Big hugs!

They’ll be renaming it Bigot Hall soon enough.

Gosh this website is a sad and desperate place, keep on bashing Boris, is that all you have to drone on about?
Mark said this on July 28th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
Ah yes, of course. I remember now that there was no attacks on the previous Mayor. Shouldn’t you be in Henley?

Just popped back to see if my earlier thoughts on this sparsely populated one tracked minded gimpfest were correct and James has proved me correct.

I, of course, have many other things to drone on about. Including Cameron’s inability to understand that a bike chained to a two-foor high bollard will be nicked. Moron is I feel, too slight an insult. Or perhaps I could drone on about the Tory PPC for Watford will be eating porridge for breakfast in the not distant future. It’s a nice day outide - enjoy the boating.

Have to say, the guy looks a dead ringer for comedy genius Patrick Marber!
