Tory activist Ian Oakley - forced to stand down as PPC for Watford after being arrested by police investigating a three year hate campaign against local Lib Dems - has now been charged.
According to the Watford Observer, the Hillingdon councillor faces five charges of criminal damage and two counts of harassment. He has been bailed to appear at St Albans Magistrates on Tuesday, August 5.
Perhaps the PPC for Tooting - one of the first people to congratulate Oakley’s selection - can be called as a character witness?

This is a Labour blog, so there won’t be much on Glasgow East. There are other sites. See this one as a collator of what the LibDems and Tories are up to. Use the others to find out about the Labour party.

Labour will win with the PM in charge he is a man of great mental strengh and intelligence. All governments go through bad times. He will recover like he allways does.

So what is really happening in politics then; is it the collapse of support for Labour, the Glasgow east By Election and the considerable speculation over the Prime Minister’s future? Or is it some local activist in Watford who’s in trouble for stupid and agressive behaviour locally? You decide.

Mr Angry, Please accept my heartfelt expression opf disappointment that you will no longer be reading Recess Monkey. I sincerely hope that other blogs will satisfy your needs more fully.
Oh, and good luck with the cranial-rectal detachment operation.

Recess unfortunately the operation has had to be postponed (like so many others under Labour’s stewardship of the NHS) since the surgeon is still up to his elbows trying to extract your cranium from a certain G. Brown’s rectum, apparently it is the adhesion of the tongue that is causing the problem.
And no I’m not going anywhere, winding you up is just too much fun and very occasionally there is still a whiff of the old and highly enjoyable Recess Monkey, such as the Murdoch/Sunday Times piece today.

Perhaps Mr Angry should spend more time thinking about the good people of Waltham Forest and less time posting on here.
chunkymonkey said this on July 29th, 2008 at 8:35 am
Well Recess there is just so much Labour malfeasance in Waltham Forest it is sometimes hard to know where to start.
