Maybe it was something in my eyes, but as I wandered around the GMEX picking up freebies in the form of frisbies, screwdrivers, pens, paperclips and countless varieties of sweets, I was approached by an operative of the Terrence Higgins Trust who handed me a free chlamydia test.
I wonder if Tooting Tory Mark Clarke will get similar treatment at the Conservative Conference in Birmingham this week?

Do the conference going political types regret the end of the seaside conferences. I work in a hosptial that covers one ot the old conference hot spots and it was a bit odd not having one this year. We didn’t have an emergency plan, and I could take annual leave in the autumn.
